Napoleonic Era Royal Navy Uniforms

  • One of the most distinct elements of a naval officers uniform was the cocked hat, and this became particularly popular during the "Napoleonic Wars" in the early part 19th century, and was a part of the British Royal Navy formal dress until 1939.
